Hip Hop

Our students are trained in the Australian Teachers of Dancing Ltd (ATOD) syllabus for Hip Hop. The syllabus focuses on correct technique of body placement and alignment with the need for individuality and personal style in the execution of the work. Our Hip Hop classes incorporate, but are not limited to warm-ups, stretches, isolations, fresh and modern combinations and dances, as well as student choreography and improvisation. Hip Hop allows students the freedom for personal interpretation of movements, and builds strength, energy and dynamics. The syllabus was created with the help of Etienne Khoo (former P&O Cruise, Toast of Love, GTV9’s “Starstruck”) and Shane Clarke. We have three Hip Hop classes; Junior (6 years+), Intermediate (10 years+), and Senior (14 years+).
